- What vehicles are suitable ?

Two Axle Rigid Vehicles

This type of vehicle is restricted to the carrying the small to medium sized truck mounted forklifts depending on the maximum gross weight of the vehicle. Typically a Two Axle Rigid vehicle should have a minimum of 25% on the front axle. Care needs to be taken not to overload axles on the smaller vehicles.

Specifying as long a wheelbase as possible and keeping the overhang as short possible will give the best stability when carrying the forklift with an empty vehicle. However having a shorter wheelbase will give the vehicle better manoeuvrability so a compromise is often the result.
