Melton Mowbray based haulier, S&J Eurpean Haulage has further expanded the services offered to their customer base with the introduction of a Palfinger transportable forklift to their fleet.
After speaking with his customers Mr Steve Haines owner of the company formulated a wish list of functions that the equipment would be required to carry out. He then investigated the market and eventually settled on the Palfinger supplied by Bennett Engineering.
S&J have been in the industry for over 25 years and have a fleet of over 35 vehicles, and that is yet to be increased say’s Steve. The company was formed be Steve and Jane Haines with one van operating from their home and has grown to form one of Leicestershire's leading transport and logistics operations.
Transport Manager Mark Turner said 'we found that we could compete for additional work from our existing customers if we had the ability to offer a complete door to door service' Mark continued 'after looking at the machines available on the market, together with the support and back up offered, Bennett Engineering won the deal'.
Peter Bale, Sales Manager for Bennett Engineering said 'Following several meeting with Steve and Mark a specification was decided on that would suit all the demands of their customer base'. The machine selected is a Palfinger F3 203 4W, this machine has a lift capacity of 2000kg @ 1300mm load centre and a maximum lift height of 3700mm. The forklift is also fitted with the Palfinger 4 way multidirectional function allowing longer loads to be off loaded and easily transported exactly where required by the customer.
S&J have the ability to transport the Palfinger on 6 wheel rigids or artic trailers so whatever the job S&J have the equipment to cope.
