In many retail operations a counter balance forklift is required at every store to unload the distribution vehicles, often used for little other work.  This system means a high level of investment in capital equipment at every store.  Added to this is the repair and maintance costs for each forklift.  Furthermore each store must have a trained forklift operator on duty every time a delivery arrives.  

The introduction of Palfinger truck mounted forklifts into the distribution operation can dramatically cut these costs.  The distribution vehicle can unload itself upon arriving at each store.  Delivered goods can then be moved within the store using pallet truck type equipment.  This system can reduce capital equipment requirement, reduce R&M costs and reduce operator training costs.
